Description

Indulge in these Salted Caramel Pretzel Magic Bars, a delightful treat that perfectly balances sweet and salty flavors with a satisfying crunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/4 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup caramel candy, chopped
  • 1/2 cup chopped pretzels
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, granulated sugar, and salt. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan to form the crust.
  3. Bake the crust for 8-10 minutes, until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  4. Sprinkle the chopped caramel candy evenly over the warm crust.
  5. Next, scatter the chopped pretzels over the caramel layer.
  6. Finally, sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips over the pretzels.
  7. Return the pan to the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the caramel is melted and bubbly, and the chocolate chips are softened.
  8. Let the bars cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. This is important for them to set properly.
  9. Once cooled, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the bars out of the pan. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

  • For an extra caramel flavor, you can drizzle melted caramel over the top before serving.
  • Ensure the bars are completely cooled before cutting for clean slices.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
