Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large sea scallops, patted dry
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup dry white wine (optional)
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Season scallops with salt and pepper.

- Add scallops and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove scallops from skillet and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- If using, deglaze the pan with white wine, scraping up any browned bits. Let it simmer for 1 minute.
- Stir in lemon juice and butter. Cook until butter is melted and sauce is slightly thickened.
- Return scallops to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Stir in fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Ensure scallops are completely dry before cooking for a good sear.
- Do not overcrowd the pan; cook scallops in batches if necessary.
- Adjust lemon juice to your preference.
