- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- For the Oreo Layer:
- 1 package (about 14-16) Oreo cookies, finely crushed
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- For the Cookie Dough Layer:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Prepare the brownie layer: In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Prepare the Oreo layer: In a small bowl, combine the crushed Oreos and melted butter. Mix well. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the brownie batter.
- Prepare the cookie dough layer: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the milk and vanilla extract. Gradually add the flour and mix until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Crumble the cookie dough evenly over the Oreo layer.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer brownie flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
- You can adjust the number of Oreos for a thicker or thinner layer.
- Ensure the cookie dough is not overmixed to maintain its texture.
- Allowing the brownies to cool completely will make them easier to cut.
