Description
Create a fun, bubbly, and delicious Sparkling Shirley Temple Float! This easy recipe brings together the classic sweet cherry flavor of a Shirley Temple with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delightful, kid-friendly treat. It’s a simple way to make any afternoon feel like a celebration.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup Ginger Ale or lemon-lime soda
- 1/4 cup Grenadine syrup
- 2 Maraschino cherries, plus extra for garnish
- 2 scoops Vanilla ice cream
Instructions
- Chill your serving glasses before you start. This keeps the float colder longer.
- Pour half of the chilled ginger ale into each glass.
- Slowly drizzle half of the grenadine syrup into each glass. The syrup will sink to the bottom, creating a pretty layered look.
- Gently place one scoop of vanilla ice cream into the center of each glass.
- Top each scoop with the remaining ginger ale, pouring slowly over the ice cream.
- Drizzle the remaining grenadine over the top of the ice cream.
- Garnish each float with a maraschino cherry on top. Serve immediately and enjoy your bubbly treat!
Notes
- For a brighter pink color, you can substitute lemon-lime soda for all ginger ale.
- If you want a less sweet drink, use club soda instead of soda and increase the grenadine slightly.
- Make sure your soda is very cold for the best fizz.
- You can use any flavor of ice cream you like, but vanilla is traditional.
