Description

Make a quick spicy tuna wrap. This easy recipe features tuna salad with a kick from sriracha or chili paste, mixed with fresh vegetables and wrapped in a tortilla.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (5 ounce) can tuna, drained
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1-2 teaspoons sriracha or chili paste (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1/4 cup finely diced celery
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup shredded carrots
  • 2 large whole wheat tortillas or your favorite wraps
  • 2 large lettuce leaves (such as romaine or butter lettuce)
  • Optional: Sliced cucumber, bell pepper strips, or avocado

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, and sriracha or chili paste. Mix well until everything is combined and the tuna is flaked.
  2. Stir in the finely diced celery, red onion, and shredded carrots. Mix gently to combine all the ingredients.
  3. Lay each tortilla flat. Place a large lettuce leaf on each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Spoon half of the spicy tuna mixture onto the center of each lettuce-lined tortilla.
  5. If using, add additional vegetables like cucumber slices or bell pepper strips on top of the tuna.
  6. Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then tightly roll it up from the bottom.
  7. Cut each wrap in half diagonally, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a milder wrap, reduce the amount of sriracha or chili paste.
  • Add a squeeze of lime juice to the tuna mixture for brightness.
  • Make this ahead by preparing the tuna salad and storing it in the refrigerator. Assemble the wraps just before serving.
  • Use different types of tortillas, such as spinach or tomato, for variety.
