Description

These Spinach & Feta Puff Pastry Bites are incredibly easy to make and perfect for any party or gathering. They’re a crowd-pleasing appetizer that looks impressive but requires minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup chopped fresh spinach
  • 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a bowl, combine the wilted spinach, crumbled feta cheese, salt, and pepper.
  5. Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Cut it into 9 equal squares.
  6. Place a spoonful of the spinach and feta mixture onto the center of each puff pastry square.
  7. Brush the edges of the puff pastry with the beaten egg.
  8. Fold the corners of the pastry towards the center, pinching them together to enclose the filling. You can also fold them into triangles or other shapes.
  9. Place the bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Brush the tops of the bites with the remaining beaten egg.
  11. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  12. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the filling for a little heat.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a tablespoon of chopped sun-dried tomatoes to the filling.
  • Ensure the puff pastry is fully thawed but still cold when you work with it for the best results.
