Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust to your heat preference)
- ¼ cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat once melted.
- Whisk the sugar into the melted butter until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Do not overmix.
- Gently fold in the Sriracha sauce.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top if you are using them.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes. A toothpick inserted near the center should come out with moist crumbs attached, not wet batter.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting them into squares. Enjoy the heat!
Notes
- For an extra spicy treat, drizzle a little extra Sriracha over the top of the batter before baking.
- If you prefer a fudgier texture, slightly reduce the baking time.
- You can substitute the all-purpose flour with a gluten-free blend if needed.
