Description
A simple recipe for making a refreshing Strawberry Bellini using fresh strawberries and sparkling wine.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar (optional, adjust to taste)
- 2 ounces fresh lemon juice
- 4 ounces chilled Prosecco or dry sparkling wine
Instructions
- Combine the strawberries, sugar (if using), and lemon juice in a blender or food processor.
- Blend until you have a smooth puree. If you prefer a smoother texture, press the puree through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds.
- Chill the strawberry puree for at least 30 minutes.
- Pour 2 tablespoons of the chilled strawberry puree into a chilled flute glass.
- Slowly top with 2 ounces of cold Prosecco.
- Stir gently once to combine the ingredients without losing too much carbonation.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, substitute the Prosecco with chilled sparkling white grape juice or club soda.
- If fresh strawberries are unavailable, you can use frozen strawberries; thaw them slightly before pureeing.
- Adjust the sugar based on the sweetness of your strawberries.
- Chill your glassware beforehand for the best result.
