Description
Follow these steps to create thick, sweet strawberry cold foam topping for your favorite iced coffee at home.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons milk (any type)
- 1 tablespoon strawberry puree or syrup
- 1 teaspoon powdered sugar
- 1 cup cold brew coffee or iced coffee
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Combine the heavy whipping cream, milk, strawberry puree or syrup, and powdered sugar in a small bowl.
- Use a handheld milk frother, immersion blender, or a whisk to mix the ingredients vigorously until the mixture thickens significantly and holds soft peaks. This should take 1 to 3 minutes depending on your tool.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the cold brew coffee or iced coffee over the ice, leaving about one inch of space at the top.
- Gently spoon the prepared strawberry cold foam mixture over the top of the iced coffee.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the layered drink.
Notes
- If you do not have strawberry puree, you can mash 2 fresh strawberries until smooth and use the resulting liquid and pulp.
- For a thicker foam without specialized equipment, chill your bowl and whisk attachment in the freezer for 10 minutes before starting.
- Adjust the amount of strawberry syrup or puree to control the sweetness and color intensity.
