Description
Make a perfectly frosty and flavorful strawberry daiquiri at home using this simple blending method. This recipe balances sweet strawberries with tart lime juice and rum.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups frozen strawberries
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
- 4 ounces white rum
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1/2 cup simple syrup (or to taste)
- 1 cup ice cubes (optional, for thicker texture)
Instructions
- Place the frozen strawberries, fresh strawberries, white rum, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup into a high-powered blender.
- Add the ice cubes if you prefer a very thick, icy texture.
- Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and uniform. Stop and scrape down the sides if necessary.
- Taste the mixture and add more simple syrup if you prefer it sweeter, or more lime juice for more tang. Blend briefly to combine.
- Pour the frozen strawberry daiquiri immediately into chilled glasses.
- Garnish with a fresh strawberry slice or a lime wedge before serving.
Notes
- For a virgin strawberry daiquiri recipe, omit the white rum and substitute it with 4 ounces of cold water or white grape juice for volume.
- To achieve the best flavor balance, use fresh lime juice, not bottled concentrate.
- If you do not have simple syrup, mix equal parts sugar and hot water until dissolved, then cool completely before using.
