Description

These baked chicken wings offer a delightful balance of sweet maple syrup and a hint of spice, making them a perfect game-day treat or party appetizer. They are easy to prepare and deliver a fantastic flavor that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or other hot sauce (adjust to your spice preference)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, sriracha, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. This is your flavorful glaze.
  3. Place the chicken wings in a large bowl. Pour about half of the maple glaze over the wings and toss to coat them evenly.
  4. Arrange the glazed chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are not overcrowded, as this will help them crisp up.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove the baking sheet from the oven. Flip each wing and brush them with the remaining glaze.
  7. Bake for another 20-25 minutes, or until the wings are cooked through, golden brown, and slightly crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
  8. Once done, remove the wings from the oven. Let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For crispier wings, you can pat the wings dry with paper towels before glazing.
  • If you prefer a spicier wing, add more sriracha or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the glaze.
  • These wings are best served fresh, but leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in the oven or a skillet for best results.
