Description

Make delicious tuna patties from canned tuna, breadcrumbs, and seasonings. Pan-fry them until golden brown for a quick and easy meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (5 ounces each) tuna, drained well
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped celery
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, flake the drained tuna with a fork.
  2. Add the breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, egg, celery, onion, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the bowl with the tuna.
  3. Mix everything together until well combined.
  4. Form the mixture into 6-8 patties.
  5. Heat the olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
  6. Carefully place the patties in the hot skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook in batches if necessary.
  7. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
  8. Serve warm.

Notes

  • You can add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little heat.
  • Serve with a squeeze of lemon juice or your favorite dipping sauce.
