Description

Make delicious Turkey Cranberry Sliders using your Thanksgiving leftovers. These sliders are simple to assemble and taste just like home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Slider Buns
  • 1 pound leftover cooked turkey, shredded or sliced
  • 1 cup leftover cranberry sauce
  • 1/2 cup leftover gravy (optional)
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese, halved
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves connected if possible.
  3. Spread the bottom halves of the buns with the Dijon mustard.
  4. Layer the shredded turkey evenly over the mustard.
  5. Spoon the cranberry sauce over the turkey layer. If using gravy, drizzle a small amount over the cranberry sauce.
  6. Top with the Swiss cheese halves. Place the top buns on.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and poppy seeds. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the assembled sliders.
  8. Wrap the entire tray of sliders loosely in foil.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly browned.
  11. Slice between the buns and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute any cheese you prefer, like provolone or cheddar.
  • If you do not have leftover gravy, a little mayonnaise works well as a binder.
  • For extra flavor, add a thin layer of leftover stuffing on top of the cranberry sauce.
