Ingredients
Scale
- 12 Slider Buns
- 1 pound leftover cooked turkey, shredded or sliced
- 1 cup leftover cranberry sauce
- 1/2 cup leftover gravy (optional)
- 4 slices Swiss cheese, halved
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Slice the slider buns horizontally, keeping the top and bottom halves connected if possible.
- Spread the bottom halves of the buns with the Dijon mustard.
- Layer the shredded turkey evenly over the mustard.
- Spoon the cranberry sauce over the turkey layer. If using gravy, drizzle a small amount over the cranberry sauce.
- Top with the Swiss cheese halves. Place the top buns on.
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and poppy seeds. Brush this mixture generously over the tops of the assembled sliders.
- Wrap the entire tray of sliders loosely in foil.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly browned.
- Slice between the buns and serve warm.
Notes
- You can substitute any cheese you prefer, like provolone or cheddar.
- If you do not have leftover gravy, a little mayonnaise works well as a binder.
- For extra flavor, add a thin layer of leftover stuffing on top of the cranberry sauce.
