Description

Make these Turkey Meatballs in Marinara for a healthy meal prep option. We focus on simple baking and a flavorful sauce so you can enjoy homemade goodness even on busy days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 24 oz jar of your favorite marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Do not overmix.
  3. Roll the mixture into small, uniform meatballs, about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter. Place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 18-20 minutes, or until they are cooked through and no longer pink inside.
  5. While the meatballs bake, warm the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, carefully transfer them directly into the saucepan with the warm marinara sauce.
  7. Stir gently to coat all the meatballs evenly. Let them simmer in the sauce for 5 minutes so they absorb the flavor.
  8. Serve immediately or portion into containers for your meal prep for the week.

Notes

  • For an extra lean option, use ground turkey breast.
  • You can prepare the meatballs ahead of time and freeze them before baking.
  • Taste the sauce before adding the meatballs; adjust seasonings if needed.
