Description

Make this easy, festive ice cream float perfect for Valentine’s Day celebrations, featuring red and pink colors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 1/2 cup cherry-flavored soda or ginger ale
  • 2 scoops raspberry sherbet or vanilla ice cream
  • 1/4 cup grenadine syrup
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish
  • Optional: Pink or red heart-shaped sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Chill your serving glasses before starting.
  2. Pour 1/2 cup of the lemon-lime soda into each glass.
  3. Add one scoop of raspberry sherbet or vanilla ice cream into each glass.
  4. Slowly pour the cherry-flavored soda or ginger ale over the sherbet, allowing it to foam slightly.
  5. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of grenadine syrup over the top of the foam in each glass.
  6. Top with a maraschino cherry and add heart sprinkles if you are using them.
  7. Serve immediately with a straw and long spoon.

Notes

  • For a deeper red color, substitute the lemon-lime soda with cranberry-lime seltzer.
  • You can use vanilla ice cream and add a few drops of red food coloring to the soda for a pink hue.
  • This recipe is non-alcoholic; for an adult version, add 1 ounce of white rum or vodka per serving before adding the soda.
