Description
Make this Vietnamese Iced Coffee, Ca Phe Sua Da, for a strong, sweet, and super refreshing caffeine kick. It’s simple to make and tastes just like your favorite coffee shop version. You deserve this perfect afternoon treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/4 cup coarsely ground dark roast coffee (Vietnamese style preferred)
- 1/4 cup boiling water
- 2-3 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Place the ground coffee into a small Vietnamese coffee filter (Phin). Gently shake to level the grounds.
- Place the lid assembly on top of the filter and press down lightly.
- Place the filter directly over a small glass.
- Pour the boiling water over the coffee grounds until the filter is full.
- Allow the coffee to slowly drip through into the glass. This may take 5-7 minutes.
- Once dripping slows, remove the filter.
- Stir the concentrated coffee with the sweetened condensed milk until fully combined.
- Fill a serving glass with ice cubes.
- Pour the coffee mixture over the ice. Stir well and enjoy immediately.
Notes
- Use a dark roast coffee for the authentic flavor.
- Sweetened condensed milk is key; do not substitute with regular milk and sugar.
- If you do not have a Phin filter, you can use a small French press or a strong cold brew concentrate.
- Adjust the amount of condensed milk to your preferred sweetness level.
