Description
A simple recipe for creamy white chocolate fondue infused with fresh raspberries, perfect for dipping.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 ounces good quality white chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup fresh raspberries, mashed lightly
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Place the chopped white chocolate in a medium, heatproof bowl.
- Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan over medium heat until it just begins to simmer around the edges. Do not let it boil rapidly.
- Pour the hot cream over the chopped white chocolate. Let it sit undisturbed for 5 minutes to allow the chocolate to melt.
- Gently whisk the mixture starting from the center and working outward until the chocolate is completely smooth and glossy.
- Stir in the mashed raspberries and vanilla extract until just combined.
- Transfer the fondue to a small fondue pot or a serving bowl set over a low heat source (like a tea light warmer) to keep it warm.
- Serve immediately with your preferred dippers.
Notes
- For a smoother fondue, use white chocolate chips or wafers instead of a large bar.
- If the fondue becomes too thick while serving, whisk in one teaspoon of warm heavy cream at a time until you reach the desired consistency.
- For a richer flavor, use freeze-dried raspberries that have been crushed into a powder and stir them in with the vanilla.
