- 0.5 oz orange liqueur (like Cointreau or triple sec)
- 0.25 oz simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- Ice
- For Garnish: Coarse salt, lime wedge, shredded coconut
Instructions
- Prepare your glasses: Run a lime wedge around the rim of each glass. Dip the rim into coarse salt mixed with a little shredded coconut.
- Combine the tequila, fresh lime juice, cream of coconut, orange liqueur, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
- Fill the shaker with ice.
- Seal the shaker and shake well until thoroughly chilled, about 20 seconds.
- Fill your prepared glasses with fresh ice.
- Strain the mixture into the prepared glasses.
- Garnish each margarita with a lime wedge and a sprinkle of shredded coconut.
Notes
- For a pitcher serving 6, multiply all liquid ingredients by 3 and mix in a large container. Chill before serving.
- If you prefer a thinner consistency, substitute half the cream of coconut with unsweetened coconut milk.
- For a frosted look, rim the glass with sugar instead of salt.
