Description

Make delicious apple cider glazed pork chops. This easy skillet recipe brings warm, fall-inspired flavors to your table. You will sear the pork chops, then cook them in a sweet and tangy apple cider-Dijon mustard glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (1-inch thick) boneless pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup apple cider
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup or brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, until golden brown and a crust forms.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. In a small bowl, whisk together apple cider, Dijon mustard, maple syrup (or brown sugar), and dried thyme.
  5. Pour the apple cider mixture over the pork chops in the skillet. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Cook, flipping the chops occasionally, for 5-7 minutes, or until the glaze thickens and coats the pork chops and the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145°F (63°C).
  7. Remove from heat and let the pork chops rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness of the glaze to your preference by adding more or less maple syrup or brown sugar.
  • For thicker chops, you may need to increase the cooking time slightly.
  • Serve with roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
