Description
Make quick and easy tacos using tortillas folded into pockets and filled with seasoned ground beef and melted cheese.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- 1/2 cup water
- 8 small flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in taco seasoning mix and water. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
- Warm the flour tortillas briefly in a separate dry skillet or microwave until soft and pliable.
- Spoon the meat mixture into the center of each warm tortilla.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the meat filling.
- Fold the tortilla in half to create a pocket shape.
- Place the filled pockets back into the warm skillet over low heat for 1-2 minutes per side, until the cheese melts and the tortilla is slightly crisp.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for ground beef.
- Use your preferred type of shredded cheese, such as Monterey Jack or a Mexican blend.
- Serve with salsa, sour cream, or lettuce if desired.
