Description

Impress your loved ones with this flavorful baked pasta dish. Jumbo pasta shells are stuffed with a creamy chicken and broccoli Alfredo filling, then baked to golden perfection. This step-by-step recipe makes it easy to create a comforting and delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets, steamed and chopped
  • 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 (15 ounce) jar Alfredo sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked chicken, steamed and chopped broccoli, ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  3. Pour a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Carefully stuff each cooked pasta shell with the chicken and broccoli mixture. Arrange the stuffed shells in a single layer in the baking dish.
  5. Pour the remaining Alfredo sauce evenly over the stuffed shells.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the top of the sauce.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the sauce is heated through.
  8. Let stand for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can use leftover rotisserie chicken for a quick and easy option.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like spinach or mushrooms to the filling.
  • For a richer flavor, you can make your own Alfredo sauce from scratch.
  • This dish freezes well before or after baking. If freezing before baking, thaw overnight in the refrigerator before baking as directed.
