Description

A simple, no-bake dip that captures the flavor of jalapeño poppers using a creamy, chilled base perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 4 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pickled jalapeño slices, drained
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Optional topping: 2 slices cooked bacon, crumbled

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer or mix vigorously by hand until smooth.
  2. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise to the bowl. Mix until all ingredients are fully combined and the mixture is smooth.
  3. Stir in the drained chopped jalapeño slices, cilantro, green onions, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until evenly distributed.
  4. Taste the dip and season with salt and pepper as needed.
  5. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled. This allows the flavors to meld.
  7. Before serving, top with crumbled cooked bacon, if using.

Notes

  • For a spicier dip, use fresh, seeded jalapeños instead of pickled ones, or add a dash of hot sauce.
  • You can make this dip up to 2 days ahead of time; keep it covered in the refrigerator.
  • Serve with sturdy tortilla chips, vegetable sticks like carrots and celery, or crackers.
