Description
A simple, no-bake dip that captures the flavor of jalapeño poppers using a creamy, chilled base perfect for parties.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pickled jalapeño slices, drained
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Optional topping: 2 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
Instructions
- Place the softened cream cheese in a medium mixing bowl. Beat with an electric mixer or mix vigorously by hand until smooth.
- Add the shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise to the bowl. Mix until all ingredients are fully combined and the mixture is smooth.
- Stir in the drained chopped jalapeño slices, cilantro, green onions, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Taste the dip and season with salt and pepper as needed.
- Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until thoroughly chilled. This allows the flavors to meld.
- Before serving, top with crumbled cooked bacon, if using.
Notes
- For a spicier dip, use fresh, seeded jalapeños instead of pickled ones, or add a dash of hot sauce.
- You can make this dip up to 2 days ahead of time; keep it covered in the refrigerator.
- Serve with sturdy tortilla chips, vegetable sticks like carrots and celery, or crackers.
