Description
Make easy, cheesy ham and cheese sliders baked in a savory garlic butter sauce on sweet rolls.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (12 count) package sweet dinner rolls (like Hawaiian rolls)
- 1 pound thinly sliced deli ham
- 1 pound sliced Swiss cheese or Provolone cheese
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried minced onion
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon poppy seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Slice the entire package of rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls connected as much as possible. Place the bottom half of the rolls cut-side up in the prepared baking dish.
- Layer the ham evenly over the bottom half of the rolls. Top the ham with all the cheese slices.
- Place the top half of the rolls onto the cheese layer.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, dried minced onion, and garlic powder.
- Spoon or brush the butter mixture evenly over the top of the assembled rolls. Sprinkle with poppy seeds if you are using them.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 15 minutes covered.
- Remove the foil and bake for another 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the tops are lightly golden brown.
- Let the sliders rest for 5 minutes before pulling them apart and serving hot.
Notes
- You can substitute cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese for Swiss or Provolone.
- For extra flavor, add a thin layer of mayonnaise or yellow mustard to the bottom roll halves before adding the ham.
- These sliders hold well in a slow cooker on the ‘warm’ setting for serving at parties.
