Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add the trimmed green beans to the skillet and sauté for 5-7 minutes, or until tender-crisp.
  4. Stir in the sliced almonds and cook for another minute until lightly toasted.
  5. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  6. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a milder spice, use less red pepper flakes.
  • You can substitute slivered almonds for sliced almonds.
