Description
A refreshing frozen rosé wine slushie, perfect for a hot day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 750 ml (1 bottle) dry rosé wine
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- Fresh berries or mint for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Pour the rosé wine into a shallow freezer-safe dish or ice cube trays.
- Freeze the wine for at least 6 hours, or until solid.
- In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool completely to make simple syrup.
- Once the wine is frozen, break it into chunks and place it in a blender.
- Add the cooled simple syrup and lemon juice to the blender.
- Blend until smooth and slushy. If it is too thick, add a splash more rosé or water.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with fresh berries or mint, if desired.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Using a dry rosé works best for flavor balance.
- The simple syrup can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
- Adjust the amount of simple syrup to your desired sweetness.
- For a thicker slush, add less liquid when blending.
- For a thinner slush, add more liquid when blending.
