Description

A refreshing frozen rosé wine slushie, perfect for a hot day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 750 ml (1 bottle) dry rosé wine
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Fresh berries or mint for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pour the rosé wine into a shallow freezer-safe dish or ice cube trays.
  2. Freeze the wine for at least 6 hours, or until solid.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool completely to make simple syrup.
  4. Once the wine is frozen, break it into chunks and place it in a blender.
  5. Add the cooled simple syrup and lemon juice to the blender.
  6. Blend until smooth and slushy. If it is too thick, add a splash more rosé or water.
  7. Pour into glasses and garnish with fresh berries or mint, if desired.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Using a dry rosé works best for flavor balance.
  • The simple syrup can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator.
  • Adjust the amount of simple syrup to your desired sweetness.
  • For a thicker slush, add less liquid when blending.
  • For a thinner slush, add more liquid when blending.
